NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

NLP - is said to be an extraordinarily effective and rapid form of psychological therapy which was originally promoted in the 1970s by the founders Richard Bandler and John Grinder.  It was stated to be capable of dealing with the full range of problems that may be dealt with by psychologists, such as phobias, depression, habit disorder, psychosomatic illnesses and learning disorders.  NLP is the practice of understanding how people organise their thinking, language and behaviour to produce the desired outcome.  It provides people with a methodology to model outstanding performances achieved by leaders and successful people in their field.

We create mental files and form unique internal mental maps of the world as a product of the way we filter and perceive information absorbed through our five senses, these are the key elements of NLP.  NLP looks at the relationship between the way we think (Neuro: Each individual establishes their own unique mental filtering system for processing the millions of bits of data being absorbed through the senses.  Our first mental map of the world is constituted of internal images, sounds, tactile awareness, internal sensations, tastes and smells that form as result of the neurological filtering process.  The first mental map is called “First Access” in NLP.), the way we communicate (Linguistic: We then assign personal meaning to the information being received from the world outside.  We form our second mental map by assigning language to the internal images, sounds and feelings, tastes and smells, thus forming everyday conscious awareness.  The second mental map is called the “Linguistic Map” sometimes known as Linguistic Representation) and our patterns of behaviour (Programming: The behavioural response that occurs as a result of neurological filtering processes and the subsequent linguistic map.).

NLP is the study of how our mind works, how we use language to describe and create our experience and how we can change our thinking, communication and behaviour to improve our lives.

The NLP techniques we use helps to teach you new and better ways of thinking and behaving so that you can create the positive outcome you desire.  It is a modal which consists of various techniques aimed at giving you a wider range of thought, feelings and behavioural choices as it looks at how we structure our own unique experiences in life.
